  • School and university students: presentation of a school/university ID issued by institutions located in the historic city of Venice or other minor lagoon islands. Registration available for those attending institutions that do not issue IDs.
  • Registered in the Temporary Population Register: presentation of the registration letter received from the Municipality of Venice. Registration and exemption voucher available.
  • People with disabilities: presentation of the European Disability Card and the accompanying person. Registration available for those without a Disability Card.
  • Armed Forces and Law Enforcement personnel: presentation of the service ID when traveling to Venice for official duties (including Firefighters).

Departure will be from San Marco - Pontile Cornoldi

The first stop will be Murano, famous worldwide for the art of glassmaking. Here you will visit one of the renowned local glass factories and watch a live glassblowing demonstration, observing up close the techniques and skills of the master glassmakers. Overall, you will have about one hour of free time to explore the island and browse the artistic glass shops.

You will then continue to Burano, where you can admire the vibrant colored houses and stroll along the picturesque streets of the village. Here too, you will have about one hour of free time to discover the charm of the island, walk among the lace shops, or enjoy a local aperitif.

We really enjoyed this tour, allowing free time as well as guided time with the glass blowing presentation. Booking online was seamless. The only consideration would be to book ahead and given that we were in a heat wave, the morning tour would have been slightly cooler. Bottom line, we enjoyed our tour and would definitely recommend!!

Well, this was a tourist trap. In theory, sounded perfect—to get on the water! & see the islands! What they don’t tell you - CRUCIAL INFORMATION- is that the boat drops you at a cordoned off glass shop that you must enter AND EXIT the island of Murano through- specifically. You will NOT be able to reboard the boat unless you go back through that (unmarked) exit door of that specific glass shop. I stood on the dock (in 95 degree heat) & watched the boat leave - as the restaurant (that had access to the departure dock) would not let me cut through to the boat. When they dropped you off, they pointed to the lighthouse as the landmark to meet at/board at - I was there, at the dock, at the lighthouse, in plenty of time. Just unable to access the boat - that I was only meters from - unless I ran around about 3 blocks, down a dead end street in between, looking for the exit door of the gift shop of the glass factory! I was not the only person on this tour that stood there watching the boat depart.
Fortunately, the public water transportation boats are easy to find & access. I - & the other abandoned tour participants- were able to go on to Burano & then also able to return to Venice on the public water bus.
The tour is designed to drop you at a specific shop - to buy things - &, without this knowledge, you really can’t navigate around & enjoy or see anything else.
I will say that the woman giving the tour information over the microphone- in multiple languages!!!- was very impressive. And the boat was large & comfortable (lots of seats) but I wish I had just used my water transportation day pass (25€, purchased on the TrenItalia app when I bought a train ticket) & visited the islands at a much more leisurely pace -& without the pressure of meeting the boat at a specific time at an inaccessible location. It turned into a very stressful experience….& I am a VERY seasoned traveler who speaks more than one language. I don’t usually get trapped like that. Was definitely a learning experience

Se avete solo qualche ora per visitare le due isole maggiori questo è il tour ideale. Puntuali e ben organizzati. Visita alla fabbrica del vetro molto interessante se poi consideriamo il costo della mini gita be direi che non si può chiedere di più. Una guida inoltre riassume le principali attrattive durante la traversata.
