I found this tour on Trip Advisor. My husband and I have kayaked for years, and thought this looked interesting. Booking the tour was easy, and there were several time options during the day from which to choose. We decided on the Venice by Night tour. Great directions to their location and laid-back, comfortable staff. We were lucky that we were the only clients on the tour, and our (quiet) kayak skills made it possible to tour down some seriously skinny residential canals in the dark. We just had a great time, and it really was the highlight of our time in Venice. Thanks, Marco!

Who needs to ride in a Gondola when you can paddle in a kayak! This was our first activity upon arriving in Venice and it was an excellent introduction to the city. Our guide George was engaging and offered interesting historical/cultural information as we paddled through the Cannaregio canals.

William our instructor was really nice, pedagogue and gave cool information on the area. With my husband we were on a double kayak and we had a blast during the tour. We would have wanted to have a longer tour; because we thought that it was a little bit short.
Suggestion : to have a souvenir of the tour, it would have been cool if the instructor had a phone to take picture of us.

We did the sunset kayaking tour, we were a family of 5 and we loved it. It was an amazing experience and going through the canals at dusk/nightfall was much safer as there was far less traffic on the canals. Our tour guide was lovely also. Its an experience none of us will forget!

Pricey at €100 p.p. Children unfortunately don't get a reduced rate nor do you get a reduced rate for use of double Kayaks.

The guide, Giorgio, was exceptionally good. He was very helpful to all participants and provided information on Venice history, specific sites, and ongoing environmental efforts. It was also impressive that he cleaned up litter in the canals along the way as well. It would be good to involve participants in clean up as well. It was a very enjoyable evening.
No difficulties while booking or during the activity. However, it would be more convenient to pay the full fee online, not just the deposit.
I would highly recommend this activity to anyone visiting Venice.

I would definitely recommend this tour being that it was so unique and special. Watching the sunset on the lagoon and weaving around the canals in Venice made it such a lovely experience. And of course our guide, Nicola, was great!

500 € for 2 hours of kayak (family with 3 children).
We were lucky to be with Giorgio who is great.

Loved this activity. The enterprise is not exactly slick but great fun. The guide was really friendly and approachable and made us all feel at ease. I found it quite tricky at first but my twelve year old got the grasp of it straight away. It was a great way to see the canals in a different way. Highly recommended.

It was a really enjoyable experience - serene, beautiful, seeing the city from a different perspective... we had a great time. Our instructor was warm, knowledgeable of the city's history, funny and ensured the whole group safely traversed the canals of the Cannaregio. We did the 11am tour which was perfectly timed - it meant we could go for well-earned Cicchetti and Vino Bianco that we had passed on the water only minutes earlier. Thoroughly recommend!

Not so easy to bord and needs some time to get used to the kajak, but then a real cool experience to see venice in a different way. The short trip to the lagoon was very exiting.

This was a nice low-key way to explore the canals of Venice. Our guide Helena was a young woman who grew up in Venice, and it was great getting a vibe of what it was like to be a local, rather than getting a lengthy 'tour-guide' history of the city. She was lovely. The tour was however quite expensive for a short experience - it cost 75 euro per person for 90 minutes. For comparison we spent 50 euro per day for lift tickets in the Alps. If you are on a budget I would probably recommend just strolling around the city and seeing the smaller canals from the streets - and take a ride down the grand canal on a commuter ferry.
