A fee is required to access Venice, except for specific exemptions.

The fee is not required from 4:00 pm to 8:30 am.

Access Fee Exemptions: To obtain the exemption, registration and acquisition of the exemption voucher are required, except in the following cases:

  • Residents and persons born in the Municipality of Venice: Presentation of a document proving the status.
  • Children under 14 years of age: Presentation of a document if the condition is not evident.
  • Students of Schools and Universities: Presentation of a school/university ID issued by institutions based in the historic city of Venice or other minor islands of the lagoon. Registration is possible for those attending institutions that do not issue IDs.
  • Registered in the Temporary Population Register: Presentation of the registration letter received from the Municipality of Venice. Registration and acquisition of the exemption voucher are possible.
  • Persons with Disabilities: Presentation of the European Disability Card and the accompanying person. Registration is possible for those without the Disability Card.
  • Armed Forces and Law Enforcement Personnel: Presentation of service ID for those traveling to Venice for duty reasons (including Firefighters).

Boat excursion to the 3 islands from Venice: Murano - Burano - Torcello with guide on board

Set sail from Venice on a full-day tour to discover the wonderful islands of Murano, Burano and Torcello.
departure will take place from Venice train station, near the KFC. 

 

Your first stop is Murano: here you will discover why this island is famous worldwide for its glassmaking, visit a local glass factory and watch a master glassmaker at work during a live demonstration
Overall, you will have about one hour of free time on the island to browse the shops and enjoy shopping in the many artistic glass stores.

 

You will then continue to Burano, renowned for its ancient lace-making tradition and its colorful houses: here you will have around two hours of free time to choose a nice place for lunch, enjoy typical Venetian aperitifs or treat yourself to an ice cream in one of the island’s many cafés. If you wish, with our ticket you can enter the Lace Museum free of charge (ask the guide).

 

From Burano you will finally travel to Torcello, the oldest settlement in the lagoon: here you will have about one hour at your disposal to explore the island independently, with the possibility of visiting the Basilica of Santa Maria Assunta and admiring its famous Veneto-Byzantine mosaics (entrance ticket not included).

 

Return to San Marco & Railway Station scheduled for the late afternoon.

Murano va vista con più calma, ed anche Burano. Scegliere Torcello solo se si vuole visitare la Basilica che è bellissima, altrimenti non ne vale la pena.
